Flushing Hospital Medical Center & Jamaica Hospital Medical Center

Flushing Hospital Medical Center (FHMC) and Jamaica Hospital Medical Center (JHMC) are both part of the MediSys Health System in Queens, New York. Flushing Hospital Medical Center is a 293-bed, not-for-profit teaching hospital. They see more than 44,000 patients per year in their Adult and Pediatric Emergency Departments (EDs). FHMC is home to one of the remaining Chemical Dependency Units (CDUs) in NYC, with a 28-bed unit for medically supervised detox and referral rehab and other aftercare options. It is a New York City 911 receiving hospital and a New York State Designated Stroke Center. The Jamaica Hospital Medical Center Emergency Department serves over 117,000 patients annually.
